Jesus speaks to the longing of every human heart to be seen, known and loved. And he invites all of us, like he does with his first followers, to experience a personal relationship with him as the answer to this age-old question. Encounter then is an invitation to enter into this relationship through the life of the Church. As Pope St. John Paull II said, “It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness…”
